"To begin at the beginning." *

I've always been fascinated by language, words, phrases and everything in between. Language gives us the ability to communicate articulately or vague if we so choose, creates bridges and then again borders, makes us laugh, cry, love, listen, understand, divides and unifies. While the spoken word tends to make me rather shy, the written word supports my thoughts and sorts obscurities I may struggle with - in short: writing comforts me, it's my safe place.
Still, starting my own blog wasn't something I thought I should do until I started reading those of other people and realized that I really wanted to be part of the internet community. It can be a harsh one, certainly one that is overflowing, even overcrowded some may say (ironically, I happen to agree)- maybe there won't be anyone who cares about what I have to say - but then again it never hurts to try.
So, without further ado:

WELCOME TO MY TINY CORNER OF THE INTERNET!

Here are some, completely chaotic (yep, good start) facts about me and some ideas I have for this digital space of mine:

1. I am, as is probably painfully obvious, no English native - so, please bare with me. Also: yes, do correct me, I do want to learn and I'm not offended at all if anybody points out my mistakes.

2. My boyfriend and I have a little boy ("the little dude" or "tld" on this blog and on instagram), 6 months old at the moment. We agreed that his face and name will not appear on the internet nor will I share anything to personal about my partner (that includes pictures). It's a simple thing of respecting my childs privacy which he cannot make decision about himself due to his age.

3. I chose this name for its beautiful twofold meaning but without any further profound reason.

4. Right this moment my job is being a mom - which I treat as an amazing privilege. Besides that I'm a university student with a Bachelors degree in politics, philosophy and cultural sciences. I will start my Masters degree in a yet-to-be-chosen field from starting October 2015.

5. The topics I care most about are the following things that will make up quite a big part of this blog: 1. beautiful, well-made, eco-conscious childrens clothing, 2. paper design, 3. life-stlye magazines (I'm talking high-quality here, people), 4. books, 5. photography, 6. discovering cities, mostly my own and lastly but surely not least, my little boy. In addition I consider myself a policially conscious person but this won't be the place I discuss my political opinions in detail.

6. I'm 26 years old (hello random fact!)

7. I HATE online shopping but am completely addicted to it. Still, there is nothing better than going to a beautifully designed and lovingly maintained real-life shop and choosing well-made products that can acctually be touched and talked about with a, preferably, nice vendor.

8. Yes, I will be talking about my kid a lot and his clothing will be part of the deal. If, however I recommend a specific brand (which, hopefully, will also happen a lot), I will make sure I have tested it myself (or rather my baby will have tested it) beforehand. If not, I will state that fact clearly!

9. Feel very free to always approach me with questions. If they are to personal I will tell you and hope you won't feel offended. In any other case I will be glad to clear up any obscurities! If you're generally interested in who the person behind this blog is, take a look at the "about" section on top of the page or go check out my instagram. I'll be also do irregular '10-facts-about-me' posts.

10. I had this idea of a photo that was going to accompany my very first post on my brand new blog. It was going to be beautiful. BUT life got in the way in the form of my gorgeous little boy. So instead I chose the one above which is a much more acurate portrayal of my everyday life.
